Sachsenring GP
23 Jul 2007-15:36 11/07/2007 Left the office this morning around 8.45am and headed to the airport, flight was 10.30am to Frankfurt where we met 2 of our Japanese colleagues who had arrived from Tokyo the day before. We all then waited about an hour before we caught our connecting flight to Dresden. It’s about a 2 hour drive to the hotel which is about 10 kmh from the Sachsenring circuit. Myself and the rest of the lads checked in approx 4.30pm and decided to have a beer before grabbing a shower. We all met at 7.30 for dinner where we caught up on the gossip & rumours that had be going around the paddock from the previous round at Assen. After dinner Paul, T-bone, Mike & I went to the bowling alley in Chemnitz, a town not far from the hotel. Were we all had a good couple of hours enjoying a few drinks & taking the piss out of each other.

Isle of Man celebrates 100 years of the TT
6 Jun 2007-15:06
Isle of Man celebrates 100 years of the TT – the oldest and most famous motorcycle road race in the world – with Dunlop looking to repeat its 2006 success
The Isle of Man TT is a legendary and unique event. For two weeks each June 37.73 miles (60.7 kms) of the island’s roads are closed and become the longest and also the most challenging race circuit in the world, the centre of a motorcycling festival that draws spectators from all over the world.
The TT celebrates its centenary this year: until 1977 it was one of the highlights of the World Championship. The stage where the Japanese manufacturers, particularly Honda, came first to challenge the supremacy of the Europeans – particularly Gilera and MV Agusta in the 1960s. On the winners trophy are inscribed the greats of that period – John Surtees, Geoff Duke, Phil Read, Mike Hailwood and Giacomo Agostini.

Round 6 - Italy
6 Jun 2007-13:38
Day 1: The Autodromo Mugello is situated in a valley between Firenze and Bologna. In contrast to Le Mans it’s a long circuit, but like Le Mans it has a dual characteristic meaning we’ll use stronger rubber on the right than the left. Both sides will need to be stronger than Le Mans though because of the faster corners that put a lot more stress on the rubber. The track surface is old, bumpy, and very rough (similar to Jerez.)
